Prison Health: Travesty of Justice

Supported by extensive evidence, this study directs attention to the inadequacies, inefficiencies, and defects of the health care systems that exist behind bars. Although analysis of the literature and specific case studies at times depict situations difficult to credit in the latter twentieth century, the author is not wholly pessimistic. He offers alternatives that could significantly improve the quality of health care for the neglected minority in jail.
